About

Hi, I’m Jacqui

I’m a physiotherapist (neuro-rehab), nutrition and health coach, low tox coach and mum of Isabel (7) and Alex (4) based on the Sunshine Coast. If you need support at this time in your health, I’m here to help. I use my 16 years of experience in working with people with neurological and other health conditions to support you to make improving your health feel easy. It is absolutely possible to make big, lasting changes to your health and I’d love to help you do it!

You might have landed here because you’re overwhelmed by change, experiencing health challenges, or both, and I want you to know this:

I work with clients, not only as a health professional but also as someone whose health has been a mess - a big mess. Let me share my story with you…

During my 20s and early 30s my health was terrible. I looked healthy but I never felt it. I had terrible gut issues and ended up on thyroid medication.  This was just ‘normal’ for me. I was on a path to ongoing chronic disease.

After I had my daughter, like many other mums, I got curious about health, where our food came from, the products I was using... It was like a lightbulb went off and I just kept on researching! I changed to an organic wholefoods diet, swapped out my cleaning and personal care products for ones that didn’t contain harmful ingredients and addressed my gut health among many other things.  It didn’t take long for my thyroid and gut health issues to disappear. I haven’t been on thyroid medication for over 5 years now and I feel better than ever. I know the difference that these things make but how overwhelming change can feel, so I know this integrative approach is needed.

PROFESSIONALLY

Professionally I have been a physio in hospitals both in Australia and in the UK for the last 16 years, most recently as the clinical lead physio for neurology. I have loved helping thousands of patients achieve their goals as well as mentoring other physios in my team to do the same. Seeing the often heartbreaking state of my patients’ health has been a big motivator for me to go on to study health coaching, because implementing change is such a driver for success in people’s health, yet such a tricky thing for many people. Maybe that’s you? Brain Body Wellness was born out of my passion for all the things that make a person healthy or have a successful recovery. So much of the chronic disease, pain and suffering I saw in my many years of hospital work could have been prevented, or at the very least diminished, through diet and lifestyle changes.
